Prepare Your Request

Before You Submit

Having the following information ready will help Richmond Fire-Rescue understand your request and reduce the need for additional follow-up.

Information to Have Ready

Include as much detail as possible when completing the online request form.

Property Address

Provide the complete Richmond street address, including the unit or suite number when applicable.

Contact Information

Include the name, email address and contact details of the person who can answer questions about the request.

Reason for the Request

Briefly explain the inspection, letter, concern or service you are requesting.

Permit or Application Number

Add any related permit, licence, business or application number when one has been issued.

Supporting Information

Gather relevant photographs, plans, documents or other details that may help explain the request.

Site Access Details

Identify an appropriate site contact and include any access instructions that may be needed for an inspection.

Complete requests are easier to review.

Once your form has been submitted, Richmond Fire-Rescue will review the information and determine the appropriate next steps.

Fire Prevention staff will review the information provided and confirm which service, inspection or follow-up action is required.

Follow-Up Is Arranged

Staff may contact the person identified on the form to request clarification, discuss fees or arrange access to the property.

Inspection or Follow-Up Occurs

The inspection, records review or other required follow-up will be completed, and any findings or next steps will be communicated.
