Neighbourhood Preparedness
Strong neighbourhood connections can make a real difference before, during and after an emergency. Getting to know the people around you helps identify local skills, resources and neighbours who may need additional support.
Connect With Neighbours
Sometimes the hardest part is simply getting started. Richmond’s Get Connected handout can help neighbours introduce themselves, exchange contact information and begin building a local support network.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers play an important role in helping communities respond when people are displaced by fires, floods and other emergencies.
Richmond works with the Canadian Red Cross to provide Emergency Support Services for residents affected by emergencies. Volunteers can help provide practical support, comfort and essential services when people need them most.
