Hello and Welcome to the Richmond Fire-Rescue website.
Built upon a strong foundation of tradition and excellence in fire service delivery, RFR continues to work toward improving our capability to serve citizens who rely upon us for protection. People, Excellence, Leadership, Teamwork and Innovation are some of the important values which define the culture of RFR in both service to residents and safeguarding the welfare of our members. As we step into our future, it is the people of RFR who continue to be our greatest asset and source of inspiration as strategies are planned to meet the challenges of providing a holistic fire and emergency service in a modern world.
Our primary goal is to provide you, our customer, with fire safety, fire prevention and emergency planning information to assist you and your family.
All our staff are committed to providing a professional service while ensuring the safety of our residents and those who visit and work in our City. Our mandate is to protect life, property, and the environment from fire and natural or other types of emergencies. I am very proud of the people making up our department and the high standards they set for themselves in service delivery. Our strength truly is in our people.
While fire response is a primary function, we are trained, prepared and ready to respond to a wide variety of other emergencies, and regardless of your needs our firefighters, fire inspectors, emergency management and administrative staff stand ready to serve and I invite you to explore our website.
As a resident of our community, it is an honor and a privilege to serve as your Fire Chief, and I thank you for your continued support of Richmond Fire-Rescue. We appreciate and acknowledge your confidence and trust in each of us. We take our responsibility seriously, knowing that our actions impact the lives and safety of each of you every day.
