Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for charging, avoid using extension cords, and never charge an EV in enclosed spaces without proper ventilation. In the event of a collision or if you notice unusual behavior—like smoke, strange odors, or warning lights—move away from the vehicle and call 911 immediately.
