April 7th a new class of 12 recruits begins their careers with Richmond-Fire Rescue. 

This new group of firefighters provides our department with increased staffing to further protect our city by expanding our fleet, once again. 

With the addition of this staffing, plus the 12 more we are hiring this fall, we will be able to add another engine company to the Brighouse Fire Hall, increasing our response in the downtown core, and throughout the city. 

This year Richmond Fire-Rescue added a new Rescue apparatus to our Steveston Fire Hall. Today’s addition will further complement our growth and service commitment to our developing community.

Congratulations to our recruits, and thank you for your dedication to our city and our department.
