When we at Richmond Fire-Rescue adopted the Vision of being the “Best Fire Department in Canada,” some people wondered how we would establish this goal.

One way to evaluate our progress is recognition from our peers. It is my pleasure to share the awards presented to Richmond Fire-Rescue from Firehouse Magazine.

These awards (found in the November 2019 Firehouse Magazine) evaluate fire stations from throughout North America in several distinctive categories.

Richmond was the only Canadian Fire Department to get an award, and we received two!
