The Richmond Fire Department has been made aware of a phone scam currently targeting residents in our community. Scammers are falsely claiming to represent the Richmond Fire Department and soliciting donations over the phone.

We want to make it clear: The Richmond Fire-Rescue will never request donations or financial contributions over the phone. Any such calls are fraudulent and should not be trusted.

If you believe you have been a victim of fraud, Richmond residents can call the RCMP non-emergency line at 604-278-1212.
