Burning of Chametz (Registration Required)
The Burning of Chametz is a Jewish practice that involves removing all bread, crumbs, and all leavened products from one’s possession just prior to the Holiday of Passover.
As part of the preparations, there is a symbolic supervised burning of these food items.
Richmond Fire-Rescue, in collaboration with Chabad Richmond, is delighted to provide the Jewish community with a safe and educational place to perform this custom.
If you are interested in attending this private event, please register with Chabad Richmond at 604-277-6427.
Richmond Fire-Rescue will be providing fire and life safety information and education for all those in attendance.
